What's the matter with you? I read tons of reviews here that match exactly with my own opinion. In summary: "In the past everything was better", attached here for once. I myself use True Image since version 6.0 - at the time the support was great, we got all naslang new builds. TODAY proscriptive one with lousy customer support, rather than new builds there's at least 1x year, a new version with even more great new features; interminable serial numbers and now even online activation scaring the last loyal customers. Now you could, given the low price to say: Well, who want to make money, too. Stupid thing is that the quality of the software is in steady nosedive since version 11. In 2010, I had just hope, but now you can sum up by saying: The product bogged down more and more new features that hardly anyone can look through, there is always greater, support, error-prone. At the same time the simple basic functions Backup and Restore are more and more hidden and difficult by terrible service. The whole follows a pattern: True Image used to be a good system tool, now it tries to be a worry-free solution for innocent players. As so often when program and user want to lose weight the user work (ie the PC wants to be smarter than the user) works only if one behaves exactly how the developer has thought. Once appear special requests or even error (messed drive letter, security is no longer in the same place as before, errors on the disk ...) it gets really hairy. To become concrete: The surface with the "automatic" backup management bugging me kollosal. Furthermore, it was not possible with the current Rescue medium (not to disk, but on a previously manually specially decorated area) to replay an image completely to a new partition. Either this feature is well hidden by the new surface (and thus I too stupid), or TI can no longer simple. Large absurdity: that images that have been created with a new version without need are not backward compatible running well under the heading "profit maximization". My request to Acronis: remembers you on your former virtues. How about a version especially for system admins, the "we-think-for-yourself" manages functions with the old surface and without? Less wizard and more opportunities to directly influence? Two stars there that you still somehow get the program up and running and it ensures correct when strictly moves in the mind of the manufacturer. But honestly, folks: The better you can.
