The Panasonic ES-RL21 provides for the low price a really great performance:
Battery, dry shaving and wet shave possible robust and waterproof (even in the shower).
It fulfills therefore to be a handy companion for the holidays for me all conditions. For a classic wet shave I need at least hot water and which is according to experience not always available. Therefore, I chose this unit and I think I have not micht Out.
About beauty can be worthy of debate, but the little clunky device is very good in the men's hand.
The hypoallergenic stainless steel blades do a good job, the skin feels very soft after shaving on. Not a hair was pulled out, as I often had to experience it in many times more expensive Philips and Braun shavers. Shaved one (s) only after 2-3 days, the Panasonic do even more. Especially in the neck do not get caught the Panasonic and some hair for a smooth shave you also need a lot more time. The hinged longhair razor by the way, interestingly, all the hairs caught that do not wegbekam the shaving head, and indeed completely painless. Also I know neither Philips nor von Braun.
The cleaning of the shaver is completely unproblematic conduct with a brush or with water.
Total impractical and illogical, therefore superfluous is the charge indicator of the battery. In the manual is (and so it is) actually: When charging the battery, the charging indicator glows red when the battery is charged (after 8 hours), the indicator lights red ........ hmmm, would somehow better green been and logical but the thing is always lit red, even after 15 hours. Vieviel cent more costs a 2-color LED or an LED that flashes when charging and will light when full? Thus, one should better remember the time when you have connected the battery to the charger cable to prevent overcharging the battery.
In the end, the device for the price is simply top. Man (n), however, should not assume that an electric shaver shaves better than a classic, good 3/4/5-blade razor. That is not the case.
Update 12-2014:
Unfortunately, the razor for nearly 3 years and rarely use has gone irreparably broken - a plastic holder for engaging the shear blade attachment is canceled. This tarnishes my really good impression of this shaver - hopefully only an isolated case and no predetermined breaking point.
