Now, we come to the product:
Packing:
The packaging was quite small, just looked chic. Of course, this is not a criterion, but not bad, because thus fewer trees have to be felled. In the package there is the MacBook Pro, including lie a cleaning cloth with apple logo, the power supply with 2 different connectors and a few sheets and booklets.
The power supply:
The PSU has 2 different plugs. Sounds now confusing at first, I try to explain it in more detail. Once you can to the AC adapter, a power cord (outlet cable power supply cable MacBook). The cable is perfect for those who have to travel a longer range. The other is a power plug directly into the AC adapter (socket adapter cable Macbook). In my opinion, the ideal for people who leave the MBP (MacBook Pro) rather be home firmly on the workplace. The power supply itself has fold-out brackets to which you can wrap the cable. The MacBookPro has the MagSafe connector, ie the charging cable "snaps" to by a magnetic closure. At the end itself there is a small LED, which indicates whether the MBP is loaded (orange / yellow), or whether it is full (green). Should we stick to the cable, the Apple product does not immediately a departure, it dissolves only the cable. I have tested it mutigerweiße - one should not imitate me yet;)
The Look:
As you can already read out in the pictures and in the lyrics, the MBP consists of an aluminum body. Looks nice and is very robust. On the cover there is the Apple logo, which lights up during operation. The MBP has a front standby display. If the laptop at rest be pulsates forward a small white LED. Also, a button has been fitted on the side which after pressing tiny green LEDs can light up in a row. Here you can read the battery status, the MBP should be turned off.
The connections:
It has a DVD drive, which extends not inconveniently, but the CDs reinzieht. A great solution, so you can tell the rickety sliding drives Adé. Furthermore, it has an SD card reader slot, 2 USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire 800 port, the Thunderbolt port, charging cable, Ethernet cable and an audio output with integrated microphone input. A theft protection is also available.
The Keyboard:
The keyboard is in the beginning a little getting used to. The keys are not the same, the Enter key is very small, the keyboard layout simply different. You get used to relatively quickly to the change, only some characters are nowhere to be found. To this end, you often have to ask google. As an example I can think of the square brackets.
The keyboard has a very pleasant stop. It is the first, I emphasize and reiterate the FIRST laptop keyboard, with which I can well and flawlessly write. The keys are a little apart and protrude slightly. Because this is not a numpad available on the laptop keyboard is also completely in the middle in front of the user. Just perfect. The keyboard by pressing the F5 and F6 are illuminated. So it is possible even in the dark to work clean it.
The trackpad:
The trackpad is in the middle in front of the user, and is made of glass. Thus one has a nicer, smoother feel than the usual Plastikpads. The area is large enough. By pressing down one can make a click, but you can customize everything as desired in the settings. Personally, I have it set so that it recognizes a light tap on the pad as a click. Right-clicking will run with 2 fingers.
The gestures that make up a great charm of the Apple products, work by a little practice and perfectly liquid. Never before has the work and surf so much fun. It is simply enormous fluid and fast.
The display:
The display is always reflective unfortunately in 13-inch version. But even there you can (direct sunlight) through the huge screen brightness as remedy. However, for people who are interested in working in the garden, it is only partly recommendable. The display is crystal clear, presents the colors incredibly well and is made of glass. I can no yellowing or similar find on my display. A light sensor (for the keyboard backlight) and a camera was integrated above the margin. Both works without problems.
The Software:
The software, which is from the outset it is actually sufficient for the average Joe user. Unfortunately for writing are not on it, just a little text editor. One can I specify either white Pages of Apple or even buy the entire Office suite of Windows for Mac. I personally have Pages and OpenOffice on my MacBook. Is MMN sufficient. Otherwise, the operating system "Lion" just runs around. It is fluid, stable and have not experienced any crashes. Otherwise, the connection options via iCloud are just fantastic. Thus, you can quickly transfer the contacts to the MBP from the iPhone, push fast en text document on the iPhone etc.
If you for some programs need Windows to Boot Camp recommends use. It creates a partition on the hard drive, installed on Windows and can choose absofort when starting. Chic and never been easier. Otherwise there is software like parallel desktop (or something similar), which create a VirtualBox.
Other:
I could find no unpleasant vibrations during all my time. It has been said, one should lay hands on it sideways it would probably by the HDD to vibrations and thus cause a noise. As I said I wanted to evoke with strong pressures, but could not find anything. Nice to notice are the speakers. These are (obviously) not the best, but they are in my opinion perfectly adequate and even quite noisy. Fan noise can be heard during normal operation hardly.
Conclusion:
The MBP is the perfect companion for students and working professionals. To have lying around the part as a multimedia laptop at home I think is exaggerated. Priced the product is quite high, which means but I just have to say .... it runs. One notices simply that adapts Apple or the operating system to the hardware the other way around. To play the whole thing is not really suitable, it should be yes, but not his. The battery life is good for me 6 hours. So can not really complain about it.
I hope I could help with my recession a little. I would be delighted if you would mark this post as helpful.
If there are any further questions, simply to write a comment, I'll try as soon as possible to answer.
