At first I was annoyed that I quasi "learn" a new program had. But soon I was hooked from the Bridge. And I still am! Bridge is in my opinion the best thing that Adobe has put on the market. Bridge is not an image management program in the classical sense, but a kind of navigation system similar to Mac Finder or Explorer. You can load the RAW files so that even, it is super fast, you always have its folder structure and it has super collaborated with the editor.
Your might come a little googling, but there are numerous photographers who work with the Bridge, there are at Adobe a petition Bridge as a "stand alone" product for sale - the bridge is awesome. Super easy to use, never "dropouts" mature. Anyone who has used it once, is enthusiastic. Bridge was a benefit for Mac users, as the Adobe programmers had not finished the organizer for the Mac version because it actually comes from the "big" Photoshop.
I borrowed Photoshop 9 not worried because I wanted to keep the bridge as long as possible, but now I had to upgrade 10 - and have now the "old" Organizer again and am only annoyed. The Organizer is indeed a "real" image management program, it enables even small - in my opinion, unnecessary - fixes. But you have to load his pictures on the path setting, from about 5000 images, the program is always slow and takes forever to create the thumbnails. Just awful!
I spent the whole day trying to make me the internet smart as I again can "bring together" the Bridge and the Editor 10 - but of course there is no way to. I would like to buy the big Photoshop - but that just blows my needs framework.
I am close to it, 8 to reinstall Photoshop Elements again and the petition to sign me at Adobe with which Bridge but please be sold as "single program". But probably I'll go "alien" - and leave after all these years together, Photoshop Elements. I test just ACDsee, Aperture and Picassa - let's see, maybe it does indeed iPhoto.
I must also say that the bride Photoshop Elements Editor is gradually to decorate for a hobby photographer program. I am tired of all the superfluous features that are taken for each new version of the "big" Photoshop, and will probably enjoy the pros, but 90 percent of hobbyists simply do not need. Just a marketing strategy in order to bring every year a new version with a new little innovation on the market.
I think Photoshop Elements and I - we have been living apart for us five years together.
Back I will only come when there is element again with Bridge instead of the organzer! ;-)
