Andreas Bourani is with his second album "Hey" back on the musical stage. And the first thing you notice, even before you hear the first sound of the new title, is the fact that the young German singer has visually realigned. Way the curls, gone are the youthful appearance. Now Mr. Bourani wearing a fashionable short haircut and leather jacket. An image that it is absolutely and apart from the currently thronging young German artists. After his surprise success of the single "Everything in my head" and the subsequent debut album "Dust & Fantasy," in 2011 puts Andreas Bourani now almost three years later, his second album after. And on "Hey" he once again shows clearly in his voice and profound and often reflective in the depth of his lyrics. The impact of the album with the first single "On Us" but more a hymn, a factual awareness of the quality of life that we should take in all its facets, as it is. Without, however, its own way, its own authenticity to lose sight of. "Hey" is an appeal to all to always move with the view to the front. Recaps are allowed, but not to get lost in this and to melt into melancholy about certain events in self-pity. "Cheer up and continue" is the motto of Andreas Bourani and he is simply with "Hey" into musical form. Of immense significance this time are again the lyrics of each song. To express what must be said in the opinion Bouranis, the singer is not too bad on certain rhyme Follow simple even to renounce and thus perhaps not to let the songs as "round" sound. "Depth is going melody" is a motto that on "Hey" comes into play every now and then. And even though the title of the album is a kind of wake-up call, so Andreas Bourani in a variety of titles then describes his way, he needed to finally get to the point where he just say "Hey" to himself and the view could judge purely positive forward again. Very clearly that is already the second title "alive again". Taking "refuge" as a Christian musical impact with just over two minutes from the title standings, you can "re alive" quasi described as opener of the album. But songs like the title track "Hey", "ultra-light" or what is good for you "" go intensively towards self-reflection. Often slowly and deliberately, sometimes with a lot of seriousness and a touch of melancholy, describes "Hey a turning point in the young musical career of the singer and has over 13 titles across a very interesting journey in search of the meaning. In some places, however, seems a bit too much lost "Hey" in itself. And that makes listening then to a small challenge. But perhaps comes henceforth, after Andreas Bourani seems to have freed this album on many things and constraints, yes again significantly more joy and also quite a bit more variety in his musical transformations.
