I spent a great time with this book. Beware though, it is very young: unless an absolute fan of the musketeers like me, if you've finished your puberty, you may perhaps not to hang.
Simple plot (Estella ring, D'Artagnan wants the ring, the bad guys want the ring ...), very fast pace (boom! Bam! Argh! Pan!) And beautiful illustrations ... Just to please a kid around you.
It's even better if the child in question is a fan of Dumas. I'm not talking about your cousin who went to see the film in the cinema but of someone who has read the books: the allusions to the original work are numerous here (story between D'Artagnan and Milady, Death Constance ... Milady death). If he pushed up Twenty years later, it's even better ...
Immediately, it reduces somewhat the target ... Or you can tweak it and bring it to Dumas book through this book. Oh yeah.
Moreover, the link with Dumas is found even in the very strong and sophisticated style. In fact, I was surprised not to find page footnotes to explain certain obsolete or complicated words to our little darlings.
The thing that pained me and that made a star to lose this book, it is the fault of the script and its shortcuts. They are not so bothersome that much but sometimes I frowned ...
I can not wait to take a look at the second volume see if these "errors" are recitifées.
And if you think that a young person in your life can appreciate this story: do not hesitate!
