On the form, which wants romantic, I do not agree at all type of writing that sometimes borders on silliness. The language is not expanded nor poetic, it does not make me "travel", does not capture my mind in such a way as to make me want to read. The novel appearance often becomes superfluous and the choice of a form of test type would be most desired because certain passages.
As for the plot it makes sense to try to make us perceive the positioning of the own philosophy of the author, but it turns delirium for failing to justify further, I think.
To my mind, it's on the bottom by cons that carries all the interest of the book. It reveals a strong historical content held in the chronological sense of history, in which are positioned the various philosophers, their personality, their philosophy, their movement membership, their impact on their society when and by retractions or confirmations to ideas printed religions, past and current philosophies and policies.
This will take well aware that well-known philosophers of history are not isolated from each other but are all part of a chain in which each link would have worked to enable the behavioral changes in Western society through the ages, scientific discovery and human consciousness taken towards their surroundings.
Finally, we find a range of philosophies which one adheres more or less and it is thus possible to identify with a more philosophical than another why not look for more in-depth books about him and so may advance his own philosophy .
Finally, an interesting book to fly the philosophers and their works in history and get a clearer idea of these artisans devoted to building their society. However, there is such a long book to read and accurate test that despite trying to appear to our eyes in the form of a novel.
