positive:
+ Very good value for money when it comes to storage
+ Overall build well
+ Large display
negative:
- Menu navigation in my opinion not natively and confusing at times, it takes a long time to find desired settings
- Volume control extremely slow! That reminds me an old, mechanical knob itself would still prefer having to press than ever at these high / low button
- You can set the number of seconds while the display is dark, but not when it starts properly. In my opinion this period is far too long, there are several minutes, you could gain a lot more battery life.
- The control knobs I find horrible! The left / right keys are on a different level and have a different surface than the up / down keys. I never thought that this could bother me, but the more you navigate and deal with the unit, there is a strange and "wrong" in front and makes the handling unpleasant.
- The display already gets greasy stains, when it looks at just wrong. They are also very difficult to wipe out, eventually you get it under control with display films. The surface of the back, however, is visually beautiful and handy.
- My last, most important point of criticism that has been handed to me alone to return the device: Between the tracks is a fade-out / fade-in used during playback effect you can not turn it off! For an absolute musical connoisseur like me, listen to sometimes albums where songs are separate, but they are about running into each other, which is an absolute no-go, bordering on rape of music! If the artist has provided an abrupt end or the beginning of his piece, you should be able to hear it exactly !! For people who mostly listen to pop music but this may well be all the same, some will probably not even notice.
Unfortunately, I had hoped for more from a Philips appliance, me especially lacks configuration options and native operation.
