Only partially erfreulcih

In the hymns which are sung about Anna Netrebko, I can not miteinstimmen unfortunately. Mostly she sings with extremely slurred voice, especially in the aria 'Giunse alfin il momento' from the Marriage of Figaro. In 'Oh smania! oh fury '' from Idomeneo you get especially in the beginning of the play to hear vocal stumbling and you can tell by Anna Netrebko their uncertainty. In the higher elevations her voice sounds very sharp, but is positive to note that it dominates the pianists good.

Fortunately, it is not the only singer on this CD and can be over long-established opera singers such as Thomas Quasthoff, who has a very broad, warm voice and his institution has full control, just happy.

But Elina Garanca proves what great about voting documents it has as mezzo-soprano. Especially the coloratura fit perfectly. Unfortunately, her aria is accompanied by any adequate historical and orchestra. However, this still remains dynamic.

René Pape and Bryn Terfel singing perfectly acceptable and have good depth.

Not satisfactory, however, Erika Miklósa as Queen of the Night in 'The vengeance of Hell boils in my heart'. She sings no phrasing, her voice always sounds the same. In the upper register is a clear Accelerando heard and the high Fs are one squealing. Passages, they even comes out of the clock.

I can not guarantee buy recommendation for this CD, because if only a few arias are sung well, that is not acceptable. Moreover, you have to grab for this CD pretty deep into their pockets. Suitable this aria and duet collection is more than for 'classical beginners' who wish to learn the most important Mozart arias and' duets.
