My experience I would summarize as follows:
Positives:
- Very good shaving result (dry)
- High quality
- Cool / sporty design (black, silver, blue)
- Good ergonomics (fits comfortably in your hand)
- 5 power levels
- Easy cleaning
Neutral:
- During charging (battery) can not be used the shaver. As it boots up quickly, but this is no real restriction
- Wet shave possible, but probably more of a marketing ploy (then yes you can directly classic wet shave)
- Only very crude battery level indicator (4 stages)
- Not necessarily quiet, especially in the highest power level
Negatives:
- Equipment to the absolute limits, in particular a plastic cap I missed
- Inadequate trimmer
Why the trimmer is flawed in my view, calls for further clarification. I have a habit also to shave my beard before only after 6-8 days. With the normal shear blade this is no longer possible (tearing painfully at the stubble). With the trimmer my previous Braun shaver I have then the beard first shortened so that I could then shave it normally. The trimmer this shaver is however starting at 45 degrees and is also very small. A cut in the normal Rasierlänge is not possible or would require an indisputable time.
Accordingly, my conclusion is differentiated from. People who consistently latest I can shave every 2-3 days these razor despite the high price thoroughly recommend. For a shave after 6-8 days there are other more suitable better shaver such as the Series 3 von Braun.
