The sharpener scissors and shears made me a sharp covered with small "ripple". My garden shears cut even worse. I had to make up for it with a grinding stone (not the one supplied in the kit ...). The stone pruners is as smooth as a stone finishes, and much too small. It was barely more effective than sharpen my secateurs with a nail file! The wheel is quite effective, but conversely, it is too abrasive: use only on cheap tools when you're not afraid to spoil the metal.
