The wood is of moderate quality at best, but at the price you can not expect miracles. There are many cracks and poor areas of glue that must be reworked with wood putty and glue. The timber also provides long out not as uniform as in the figure. The packaging is not good, the wood rubbing against each other and you can see traces of rubbing. Because the piece of the manufacturer is directly considerably more expensive, I think Amazon is supplied here with B-Ware.
The faces of the squared timbers I reworked with Osmo hard and grain wax, otherwise running pure water and the wood swells and splits later. The piece weighs 45 kg alone is not to move, so I screwed under beach chair rollers. The screw ends of the construction look quite far out, a couple of acorn nuts for a few cents protect against injury but when times one can fall out.
After this rework my kids have a lot of joy to my hammock and the new frame. I must, unfortunately, hardly it is always busy :-)
