Canon printers often do not tolerate foreign ink, which I unfortunately have to realize several times.
I have tried a few third-party inks in IP4000, nothing comes close to the original ink.
Always "spins" any color, the print head dries up, etc.
This time the black cartridge for printing text documents real from a favorable Compliant Substitutes package (keyword "Dye Ink") was probably filled with cheaper non-pigmented ink.
First, the term showed little smudge-proof, then after some time the printed image was poor.
The color cartridges (cyan / margenta / yellow) were far away from the original and the print head are often needed to be cleaned.
Although slightly more expensive, so I can always recommend only to the original ink, at least for my Pixma.
