Aeternia (Paperback)

Customer Review

What a slap! I must admit that Gabriel Katz scared me, with all the great reviews I had read on his trilogy Memories of the Well. Trilogy which is also in my library a long time but I have not dared to touch for fear of having waited too long and be disappointed. So when I was offered Goodreads receive Aeternia, I was more than happy! Thank you very much to the site and Scrinéo editions, because yes, I had a great time and I now look forward to attack me other novels of the author.

Also, I have posted my review sooner had I been able, having devoured the novel, despite the fact that I am reading in common with Saefiel ... But every time I wanted to rest the novel, every time I told myself that I had to wait, I realized with horror that I had swallowed 80 more pages. I just could not stop reading Aeternia.

I admit I find it difficult to do this column. If during my reading words were necessary to me very easily, it turns out that the final chapter lééééégèrement me made the task more difficult. But clearly, I loved Aeternia. I loved the characters so well portrayed, all very strong personalities with their very pronounced, but all full of defects that made the real, endearing. I loved the world of the novel, apparently the same as the Well of Memory but fear not if you did not read as is my case, you will be guided gently and you will feel at home you. Finally, not too much, it's not the most pleasant world to live ever.

The main character will make you hopelessly think Druss, whether you like it or not. Gladiator older, undefeated and fighting with an ax, it is also much more gruff and sweet and tender that it leaves see at first. And like Druss, it is not to be the luckiest of all. Gabriel Katz owes me a packet of tissues, for making me cry in the subway ... But I do not blame him. Not too much.

Unfortunately, I can not tell you too much, this novel is savored and the back cover reveals you enough! I'll just say Leth Marek (the hero so) is found in spite of himself at heart a religious conflict where the fanaticism of some causes many dramas ... and that is that the submerged part of the iceberg.

So yes, it is a heart stroke. Despite the end hoooorrible which will make more than a scream. Usually, I hate that kind of end is in my eyes pure and simple kidnapping. If you liked the novel, you feel more, obliged to obtain a result quickly. And it is even more cruel if the sequence in question is not out! But I'll make an effort and forgive Gabriel Katz, and because I had a great time with her novel, because this, although deceitful, giving an even greater dimension to its history and because I 'have a chance to calm my frustration by throwing myself on the Well of Memory ASAP!

I advise you with enthusiasm beauuuucoup this novel I a-do-re! I can not wait to have a result in hand, and I thank again Scrinéo editions and Goodreads for this very nice, although vaguely frustrating reading! If I were Mr. Katz, I would prepare myself still to be verbally assaulted in the coming days ... Because we want a result, and fast!
