Eco, Volume 1: The Curse of Shackelbott (Album)

Customer Review

This is thanks to the release of Volume 2 that I was interested in Eco. Charmed by the beautiful illustrations Almanza Jeremiah, I have literally immersed in this world so special and so poetic. The pen of William Bianco is a treat, as I said, a delight as she twirls and we prevailed.

Everything begins as a classic horror tale, a child, inattentive and cruel parents and a foul, a huge mistake that will make this child a martyr. Yes, a tale altogether traditional in appearance is told. But Eco quickly takes a surprising turn by addressing topics such unusual that the three stages of life, evolution dune same person at different ages.

Eco, who knows nothing of life, thinks dune curse victim, not knowing that life is equivalent to grow, learn and grow old. You enter into a fantastic story but with a theme that concerns us all.

Japprécie particularly headers illustrated by Guillaume Bianco and famous quote references like Jack and the Beanstalk (for the whole first volume), Ovid, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Match Girl, folk rhymes, La Fontaine's fables or Little Red Riding Hood.

Eco is a wonderful discovery. A book that reads very well to children to inform them of changes in their body and that devour leaves by adults. A phenomenal heart for this poetic and surprising title.
