For comparison with the Asus Xonar Essence STX, which I had previously: The One sounds a track detail and better sound quality would have served alone, then you can probably access it without problems for STX. What has been here the decisive factor for a high price, was the fact that this DAC is independent of the PC and therefore much more flexible. With a new purchase of a PC sound card must not be removed - I admit laziness wins!
However, I also wanted this little bit of extra sound quality and so goes the Award at the One. For the price range up to 400 a highly recommended product.
Who wants the last 5% power, probably will have to pay a multiple of this price, and it's not worth it to me!
Together with the Beyerdynamic T1, the two for a classic duo!
