Apart from a few logical errors (Rafe crashes during the day along with his machine into the sea, but appeared only at night from the water on ????) and the film length (3 hours), I think the film just great. From the film music on the love story (which, in my opinion, is not so corny as it is presented here by many) to the war scenes the movie is great. The flyer scenes are just great. For the love story I wanted to add one thing that already have mentioned some Miener predecessor: This movie is no documentation (why are the historical points not be strictly adhered to), it is primarily about the three main characters Rafe, Danny & Evelyn who are in a love triangle. The whole is to play in the war, he is not the center of the film. And I think man can Titanic and Pearl Harbor compare in any way, because there are very different situations!
All in all a great movie, although it is not suitable for every taste, but in my opinion definitely worth seeing! :)
