In Into the Storm also dominate again ARPs great strengths: powerful riffs and solos, Gioelis fantastic voice and great melodies. Sure, you have a few songs (Tower of Lies, Long Way to go) the feeling Rainbow, Whitesnake or Axel even have a pretty similar song ever had, but who cares already, if it sounds good and the troops with "When Truth Hurts" a great ballad, the title track have (with oriental flair again significantly Dio / Rainbow created) and otherwise quite good songs at the start a really great epic?
Another plus is the new drummer for me. Terranas Totgeknüppel went into my last albums then something on the nuts. With Rondinelli it sounds something organic, which fits well with Axel's old-school guitar.
Conclusion: Nee, "Into the Storm" is not a masterpiece, but a very solid album with ARP - for me - 3 absolute highlights (Into the Storm, When Truth Hurts, Way To Mandalay), a lot of good average and little loss. If that is enough, can strike without hesitation.
