Jaja, "Stand My Ground" splits again tempers: There are the ones who still mourn the heavy guitars and growls from the Enter / The Dance-time, and those who think that finally undisturbed has Sharon's voice Place to unfold. My personal assessment is both "the dance" etc. and "Stand My Ground", that there are actually very successful works, albeit in very different ways. I must say at the beginning, I have the familiar hardness a bit missing, but with each listen I like the CD actually better because it acts as already concluded in its musical form in itself. In "The Dance", for example, I miss Sharon's clear, "undisturbed" voice even partially, but this in no way makes the overall sound for me kinda bad, just as it is here. Well, if only the title track alone would be it, that would already be sure I got bored with the time, especially when he is running at Viva, but why are they left on the disc 4 (!) Different tracks horny it ?! And the fact that these are not part of the new album, you have missed in my eyes definitely also what if you just want the album and not this single buys! (And who can afford sichs and DVD players has the best still the same in the matching DVD version!) Everything is a whole course very nice relaxed, to pure classical music on "The Swan Song", which I think to myself over and over again here, this one would also be able to include a good text very nice; when I hear that, I still have almost always been one in the back of the head a little bad, but of course definitely worth listening to. In my opinion, are clearly taken a further step towards mainstream Within Temptation with this disk and the accompanying album, if only because of the particular song length, the one, in my opinion, easily and with probably more qualitative increase, could stretch, for example with longer instrumental parts, but given the beauty of the songs I can sure be no points deduction. Maybe the next album will be yes as a kind perfect blend of "Enter" and "The Silent Force" ?! A little dream and hope must be allowed here ... And one more word to all who claim it would Sharon barely understand - "Enter" I had a lot more difficulties as partially, and whosoever still does not understand, the CD itself is look closely - the text is printed ... So, unlimited purchase recommendation!
