When I stumbled upon the Sodastream, I thought that that would be a fine variety: No 6 packs Pepsi more 4 floors 2x bear the week up and fill yellow bags of empty bottles.
After a 2-week "I can not sleep because want" phase I'm in the next wholesale and have stocked up with a penguin and several flavors.
Pro:
+ Just the fact that I no longer 2x a week hauling bottles + shopping needs, is for me a big plus
+ The device works and is easy to use - once you the first time a bottle has mixed sodas, and has the knack
+ I can measure out how much carbon dioxide is in the water itself: For example cola much in little cherry juice.
+ Being single also 0,6er bottles are pretty okay. Per night I mix me two of them.
Cons:
- I think his head a bit stupid "push down" when you close the device. Have there not yet found the right grip, I slide often slightly, and the rotation of the locking the collecting container must also have out, so that you can operate the device without wobbling / slipping. But does not affect the function.
My mustard:
- That part is great, and I'm curious how long will the CO2 bottle. I have extrapolated my costs time - and come with the Sodastream and the syrup's to about 60% of my previous costs (once has, of course, pays the purchase price).
- The bottles were reported as "hard to clean". Of course, through the opening fits not even my fingers. But I do not see the problem: If I drank "my" bottle empty, I wave it once with water. Sauber - ready?
- Contrary to the information in the manual: "2-3x press CO2 lever about 2-3 seconds," I have found that 1x for 3-4 seconds press better results and conceded.
Syrup:
Of the original syrup I like lime, cherry and orange best. The latter tastes - in my opinion - almost exactly like Fanta. From the Cola-Mix I advise times that taste like cheap coke .. and unfortunately little McD-like.

Meanwhile have passed since my purchase a couple of days, and I can play first "experience".
Basically nothing has changed in my opinion on the thing - I've been using it still "only" and every day.
Meanwhile, I have already ordered the second CO2 bottle; I come with a filling and daily use of about 6 weeks (but then the CO2 bottle is actually totally empty). Exchange and return without any problems so far gone by equip.
Since I have become "drunk" my way through most of syrup's, here are my favorites:
- Orange tastes nahestgehend by Fanta, but is not my cup of tea
- Cherry is my favorite time-
- Lemon tastes like white soda, lime somewhat bitter - very great
What I can advise:
- Woodruff has a very strange addition to taste; drunk two bottles and discarded afterwards (even the syrup)
- Cola. Is disgusting. Tastes not even for low-Cola from the Aldi: /
To bring the problem to the correct "handle" to the slide down I solved expertly: Taking the entire palm (eg left) and lies horizontally on the head of the carriage, is the opening and closing no longer a problem.
All in all I am very satisfied so far!

Again a quick update of my review:
Now, after some time, everyday use, I've found that "sometimes", especially if one fills a bit more water in the glass bottle, the water comes out of the housing, once you reach "maximum" CO2 injection that. This is especially annoying if you slept through a cm fills too much water, and then the entire device (and the work surface on which it stands) is allowed to dry.
Nevertheless, I am still very satisfied with the device, it stays with 4 out of 5 stars and the restriction to actually stick to the filling mark the glass carafes!
