Regarding the product: very good quality, this article confirms that it is not necessary to invest 140 in the collar of the original manufacturer.
Supports the box without flinching + 100mm Macro IS, but also a barrette Macro and flash 580 EX II 2 + Cactus.
Supports also no problem clamping very "violent" on one foot (for example through a shooting)
That said, 40 the collar, I think there is a good margin for the manufacturer or the seller, but I have not found cheaper (to equivalent quality) in CEE.
November 2012: After 6 months of use (low intensity), the screw tightening the fixing nut've just "screw up"> ... verdict, permanently inoperable necklace, it relativized my previous comment, but to be honest, I must admit that I tend to shake "strong" to make sure I block all housing / obj on the ball.
