In Yosemite, there is a function called kexts signing preventing TRIM function. You would disable Kext signing to activate TRIM, but you should not need it by using our SSDs. There is a feature built into our SSDs called Active Garbage Collection that does the same task as TRIM. Leave this Active Garbage Collection function on disk for an extended period will clean the cells and the SSD will operate normally again. To operate on Mac Garbage Collection, you will leave your Mac on but idle for several hours, the ideal being to leave it in this state overnight. To do this, press the Options key during startup, and let the Mac on startup options management screen. This will allow your Mac to be turned on without the system is active, after which your SSD will return to normal operation. You will then modify your system's power options to prevent this problem happening again: - Go to System Preferences - Go to the dashboard Energy Saver - Make sure the upgrade option Standby the hard disk as soon as possible is not selected. Do not hesitate to contact us again for any other questions.
