The kit 16-50 (24-75 silver equivalent) is happening everywhere, and looks like 28-85 I had on my Nikon film. I can almost make macro pictures, and it can take a variety of pictures (family, festivals, small groups) because it is well suited to subjects of shots taken a few meters (1-5m).
The viewfinder is clear, even though I tend to use mostly the screen.
The picture quality is superb, impeccable sharpness, true colors, and I did not notice any deformities or specific artifacts in the pictures.
Automatic mode + is doing quite well in the majority of cases (against the light, landscapes, portraits, macro with shallow depth of field ...). The autofocus is very fast and very accurate. The controls are very quick to adopt to just another Sony device. I also enjoyed some goodies, like the ability to create a panoramic photo by attaching himself several pictures side by side, or the creation of insulating pictures selectively red, yellow, blue, or green to keep the rest in black and white.
In summary, no regrets over my old DSC-F828 or with respect to the reflective option.
It is a small object, including objective, easily into a bag.
No regrets, except maybe the lack of external charger, Sony does not give (you must connect the device to the charger), and I'm a bit tired of having to buy different batteries for each device: the F828 NP-FM50 used, the camcorder NP-FV50, and NEX6 NP-FW50 (who seem to be the same as the FV50, with slightly offset connector. So it's a little far chargers and different batteries.
Essential supplements: Additional battery (I red plug to easily determine which one is loaded), external charger, bag / case and UV filter to protect the lens.
