I have satisfied the Sharkoon Fire Glider and am since more than 4 weeks. She has my old Logitech MX518 replaces that with left click often crackled after 3 years.
Positives:
+ FG fits comfortably in your hand, the MX518 was me sometimes to "hunchback"
+ Extremely smooth- running on my Mousepad (hard plastic)
+ 5 different dpi values via button selectable directly on the mouse, so to speak sampling accuracy, up to 3600dpi
+ Everyone dpi mode is indicated by LEDs on the mouse wheel, so you always know what you have just set
+ Rubber coating on the side, so that the thumb does not slip
Neutral: the Fireglider has a compartment with several small metal weights, which can be removed individually, to change the mouse properties - I have not tried, I do not know if something like that rather only is psychology for a non-pro gamers or really some noticeable changes ...
Negatives:
- For some reason I often accidentally on the button, which is above the thumb. Since I have this covered in Actonspielen with a function that interferes with naturally - but the fault is with me, that I thumbs unconsciously bit high lifting in the hustle and bustle. When MX518 me is but never happened.
- Exactly this key was in the MX518 driver without the "back" button, which, for example, was very nice on the internet. When Fireglider this button (at least without driver) Not used.
A direct comparison MX518 vs. Fireglider I had with CoD6 - Modern Warfare 2. I play it in a resolution of 1920x1080 with a 23 inch TFT since release on average as much as an hour a day online. The first 3 weeks even with the MX518 and whose average of three DPI settings (the highest was with to "fast"). The Fireglider I could thanks to 5 instead of just 3 modes a dpi resolution slightly better than the average of the MX518 specify what a good mix of fast, but not too fast for me. One can thus very quickly wander all over the screen, but also in small, precise movements very closely and not because even twitch already turned on the screen or directly to all 90 to convert it to a FPS coins. ;) But even with image processing and so the mouse is very precise and smooth rolling.
Conclusion: I find the Fireglider, especially for the price, a top product. Whether it is better than the proven MX518, of course is always subjective, as with every mouse: the one it is better in the hand than the other. I find both mice equal comfortable but the Fireglider is denoch my favorite because it provides a more appropriate for me dpi mode.
