MILK:
To me it was particularly important that the machine (/ -erhitzer milk frother with hose) has a cappuccino maker. I had previously a capsule machine with a Milchschaumdüse and this was then but eventually tired because I often do not get nice milk froth and the milk was too hot for too long by the foaming. Also, I found it particularly expensive to use an extra milk jug for frothing, to then fill only in the cup. Because of my cappuccino maker seemed perfect. And that is: The milk foam is nice fluffy and you get a very high milk froth for latte macchiato go. I personally feel the temperature of the milk just right! Immerse the hose just in a milk carton (the hose has a very good length, the opening than enough to the bottom of the milk carton) and let the milk run directly into the glass, very easy to handle. The only thing that bothers a little is the start of the process for milk foaming because it increases momentarily hot steam, and it is possible that at the beginning a little milk from the Cappuccinatore "injected", but this is perfectly logical and I do not avoid, because the Cappuccinatore first heat build-up and the first air out lets the hose before the milk is sucked up.
Heating the milk is also very simple and is the same as the process for foaming milk, only one setting at the cappuccinatore must be adjusted by a small rotation of a wheel.
But at the first place to use the cappuccinatore, you have to press a button, so that they be only heating up. But really do not take long. If you do, for example, a latte macchiato, to set the Cappuccinatore to a aufeizen, waiting 20-30 seconds, then lets the milk in the desired amount with Aufschaumfunktion a cog in the glass one, the wheel turns again, and the machine automatically adjusts again to brew coffee to (it never both functions active, either foam milk / heat or brew coffee). COFFEE:
The coffee machine has 3 strengths, which I find very sufficient. But the strength of the coffee is anyway again depend on the beans used. Currently we drink coffee crema with medium strength, can for a cappuccino or latte macchiato you then let brew coffee the third strength, fits perfectly.
The crema on the coffee is great! Very strong and remains almost to the last sip. Since you can not complain.
I find the taste can not be saying much, because that is highly dependent on the beans.
As for the amount of coffee, which can be very easily controlled with a knob, this ranges from a tiny espresso to a cup of coffee about 250ml, more than adequate. On the machine you will also find a flat corrugated surface which is obviously intended for the storage of empty cups and of course perfect for suitable (not given in each machine).
CAPACITY OF ALL CONTAINERS:
This machine is often times criticized that water tank and bean container are too small. I must say, it all depends on how "comfortable" one. The water tank holds 1L and the bean container 150g bean pure fit well. In the water tank, it is a bit annoying, yes, but in the size of the machine can also ignore good about it, for 2 people in the household reaches the but completely out. The machine is not entirely without reason "Solo". The collection container for used coffee powder is large enough, I had this for about 8-10 coffee cups empty. When the bin is full, the machine reports a people ends icon on the display and then the drip tray is full. CLEANING:
All I can Entkalkungstechnisch etc. not say much, because the machine is not yet long enough in my possession, but I can say positively: After switching on and off of the machine is always a small amount of hot water passes through the coffee outlet , ie the coffee channel is automatically flushed regularly. For "superficial" cleaning I can say that this is very pleasant, simple and overviewed, since the design of the machine is indeed very minimalist and is very manageable (without lots of little corners, slots and other).
On a positive note even that is in the machine a water filter that is inserted directly into the water tank, supplied. So the machine must be descaled less often. But I'm using already filtered water, the better, so the water is still soft.
VOLUME:
I have read some criticism with regard to the volume of the machine. I can but do not quite understand, but maybe I've also encountered no super quiet coffee machines. The machine could be a little quieter, yes, but so incredibly dramatic, it is not so, I would festbeißen it. I think it's appropriate for a coffee machine and I would say bearable.
Design and quality:
Design is always a matter of taste, but as a communication designer this machine has me by far pledged most because this machine is designed very cautious and minimalist, the symbols are easily understood, the design is very modern, because of the rectilinear design. I would say that the machine visually modest fits into determines every kitchen.
For processing nothing stands out particularly positively or negatively, the quality is exactly as you would expect it in such a machine. I feel the quality of positive rather than negative!
CONCLUSION:
On the whole, my judgment is largely positive, which can be seen well in the number of the stars also. I am very pleased with the machine, it served its purpose, is comfortable and you get a good quality and variety of coffees and specialty coffees.
