This PC was basically running Windows XP SP3 and Seven SP1, but had a Windows Experience Index of 1.0!
The installation of this graphics card is simply:
- Check in the BIOS as you are in AGP
- Uninstall the current driver for the old graphics card
- Stop the PC, replace the old graphics card with the new card
- Restart the PC and insert the installation CD Driver (if it does not start automatically, you "open" the CD, and "Drivers", click on the file folder that appears (16921), select your OS XP, Vista or Seven (care to take your config 32 or 64 bit) and click on "Setup" and allow the installation to proceed
- Restart your PC and "Device Manager" unroll "Graphics" and you should see "NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500"!
- For me my Windows Experience Index rose to 2.3 after "" Réexcuter evaluation "
In conclusion, good performance improvement for a cheap card!
