Perfect on the EOS 650D

I bought the Rode SVM Stereo VideoMic PRO Pro used on the EOS 650D. Not necessarily, because I wanted to significantly improve the sound, but because I wanted to somehow ever use the video function of the camera. Without external microphone AF noise is so dominant to hear that the recordings are really only usable if they are accompanied by music. A circumstance which was not acceptable for me. After I tasted first two others (favorable) mics (the results were somewhere between metal bucket and toys), I bit the bullet and picked up the relatively Rode mic.

To make it short, I am not an engineer and my knowledge in this area go almost gen zero. But I know what I'm hearing and based on the Rode SVM Stereo VideoMic PRO Pro I have to say: no more! I mean that in a positive sense. Noise on the 650D are almost completely switched off and are actually only audible when one focuses on it, and I will hear necessarily. But even then they are not dominant and the recordings can finally be used with the original soundtrack.

For use on windy days I have even gained the windshield of Rode and thus also really great shots can be produced when the wind blows strongly mediocre. Although the combination of camera, microphone and windshield somehow looks strange, but taking pictures of animals they have proven themselves. Through the funny Fellpüschel attention of pets is almost guaranteed and they look as good as ever towards camera. Young children incidentally also ...

The processing of the microphone is very good in my view. Look and feel can be nothing to be desired and the cable can be laid on the 650D so that it does not even bother much.

For me, a purchase that I have not looked back since. I use the micro now for over 9 months and it has left me not once in the lurch. Thanks to the Rode SVM Stereo VideoMic Pro PRO I experience with the 650D finally the sound quality that I expected. Also in connection with the 24-105mm (which at the 650D without ext. Micro the sound Gau represents) can be heard only minimal, not disturbing noises.

Had I grasped from the very beginning to this microphone, I can use some shots much better. Similarly, I could have saved my testing with two different microphones.

The Rode-Micro was almost my last hope and I must say it has saved me. I was almost on the verge of the 650D for sale again, because it is really no use out of the box for video films. Luckily I have given her this chance, because now I love the combination and am more than happy with it ....

My conclusion: I am absolutely happy and experience video films with the DSLR to hitherto unheard of way - thank Rode!
