Why you acquire a compact camera? Because you want to make nice snapshots without major photographic equipment and without much hassle. So it goes in any case to me. For this task, the Canon IXUS 115 HS is perfect. Photos are very good for a compact camera. In Detail: + The camera is just under 2 cm very flat and with 150 grams relatively easy time just fit in your pocket + The photos indoors, and landscape photos Details (flowers, objects) have become well, thanks to the HS system you do not have to worry about settings - made photography easy + Photos in dark environments have relatively little noise + The image stabilization works well, even snapshots, which I made with one hand, were sharply + The display shows the photos back very sharp and clear colors, the downside is that it reflects outdoors when light is incident from the back + The Zoom 4x optically (+ 4x digital) is ok, but not great + The video function is on a compact camera course rather a nice gimmick, but provides at the IXUS useful results, the auto focus and exposure is well
The software I have not tested this since I've had enough software for photo editing on the computer already, and other software makes the computer slow.
Negative aspects are barely noticed, only some memory cards that work fine in other cameras (eg Platinum) will no longer be ejected properly from the IXUS, the result is a fumbling to find out the cards. Other memory cards (eg Sandisk) work fine. But since this is rather on the side of the memory card, I draw from any point.
