To put a point of taking the Ausrüsrung without the backpack: Even when fully laden backpack holds the backpack and its position can be seen on the equipment easily, without having to leave the backpack anywhere access in the state. But you have the supplied side strips hang. These belts are fastened when delivered on the waist belt, they must therefore reposition and then works to load and unload easily on the move and when standing.
