Mozart's Requiem is certainly the work I like and this version is undoubtedly the one I prefer. The emotion goes perfectly, the chorus of Stockholm is remarkable, just as the orchestra and Muti finds inspiration. The all together offers us a meditation rarely achieved by other ensembles. If a little Scherchen approach in Vienna in 1959 at Westmister (; = 1 & psc smid = AJ7HNG23RLHLP), most definitely Frieder Bernius in Stuttgart in 2000 Carus, and can also be Herreweghe at the Chapel Royal in 1997 at HM. Finally given the price that is where we must begin to understand what is the rest. Happy listening to all and to all!
