Perfomance but ...

This will make four days I ordered two gtx 980 gigabyte g1. I hesitated with asus (what error ..) but I told myself saw people who had that card said she was silent, there will be no reason it should not have be quiet .... (My God ... but what a mistake)
Once installed I started .. I meant the 100% turn card of his fans and a pleasant silent survient..oui is the démarrage..c'est so a moment make court..mais 2-3 starts bw per day or more (at a server) .. I do not think you would enjoy ... fortunately it was short (thank you the ssd, demanding silence with hdd, go live your way)

Silence level, idle nothing to say in game / heavy tasks, he is not silent: in automatic mode: you feel like a ferrari which starts next (having been several times in racing cars + my computer without the card but with Strix gtx 970 from a friend is 22 to 28db in load, one can say that the noise difference means much ..) The automatic mode is bad, poorly managed, all other brands are better I think. Even in manual, when you manage it, you can not find a copy silently with suitable temperatures ...

Now gigabyte software are just horrible (not practical, ah the way he even KILLED my motherboard bios provoked me blues screens, removing the sensing my ssd I do not know how ... I troubleshooting had to work took me all afternoon !!). A little lesson is therefore required: DO NOT install any of these software gigabyte, they are really hard to do !!

Then level performance is very good but ...
Sli is clamped at this time due to lack of bus width and lack of VRAM (yes the memories of cards do not add up ...) I play / work in 5760x1080 if ever) and performance is broken ..to because of it ... so in short,

I do not recommend this card after all the faults that I quoted, it has certainly design and performance, a basic bundle, but saw faults that I had ... it's impossible for me to note more.

However, I recommend against by the gtx 980 for the game / benchs and 3D calculations in single screen those who want to keep a long time, need to lower screen sorting options to have a decent framerate (because of lack of vram and bus ) or wait for the following series .. (thank you consoles..et optimization rotten lazy developers as some boxes ...)

Head to the Asus, MSI, evga rather they are more reliable. Personally I return the product, and this is my last time with gigabyte (it was their second chance with me after the first bad experience ..) I'll get a different model.
