Perhaps the best superzoom solution

And then came the "shock" - I had a MFT camera (Lumix GH1) with a super zoom lens (14-140 Vario) looked closer. Immediately I could no longer inspire the FZ-Series me. The processing potential (noise performance, dynamic range, color depth) a MFT camera is an entirely different world compared to a superzoom compact camera.

So I ran some time with my GH1 and the 14-140er through world history and was very pleased. But then came the next "shock" - I bought some good zoom lenses (including 14-45er, 9-18er) and a couple of fixed focal lengths (20mm, 14mm). The result was that the images even at the edges and at maximum aperture were now really crisp and not mushy. Immediately I had lost interest in the ansich comfortable superzoom.

There was then a few more MFT Super zoom lenses (Zuiko 14-150, Vario 14-140 II), I've tried some several times (due to the high series dispersion), but I am always stayed with my much better moderate zoom lenses and prime lenses. The difference was too great with personally, as he was often visible without magnification to a high-resolution monitor. Apart from that I always lacked a bit larger Wide, since Super zoom lenses usually start at the equivalent of 28mm.

Since meheren years so I am a satisfied MFT user and have gotten quite a lot of good lenses (partly selected) and was so obsessed with some MFT Bodie. As the FZ1000 was announced, I was immediately electrified because I appreciated my RX100 the capabilities of a 1 "sensor and still haunted the idea of ​​a universal solution in my head and I was not disappointed.:

The smaller Sony sensor of FZ1000 is technically very advanced and is easily available to ISO1600. By gerigere sensor size compared to MFT or APS-C the requirements for the lens are significantly lower. Say: The sensor size harmonizes much better with the superzoom thoughts!

This can be seen in the pictures immediately: While me especially the APS-C Tamron superzoom examples "creepy", provides the FZ1000 well in the corners very high tripping. In addition, the FZ1000 is open glare fit. Only in higher telephoto range is a minimal stopping down the maximum sharpness to obtain. There are no visible vignetting and the CAs are limited. The imaging performance is compared to the MFT system unngefähr on par with the excellent Zuiko 9-18 and 14-45 Vario. In telephoto range, the zoom 100-300er is "almost" reached and only if you look closely the MFT solution has an advantage.

The sensor provides a very high dynamic range, so that highlights and shadows can be edited just like MFT top models. The relatively fast optics often lower ISOs can be chosen so that the sensor size is not a real disadvantage. Something exemption is also possible - at least not compared to the old FZ's, all due to the great depth of focus have a restless Bokeh.

Another advantage is the very good stability. Compared MFT or APS-C lenses to move the load is significantly lower. 400mm at 1 / 100s are reproducible no problem.

A FZ1000 is so for quality reasons a much better solution than Universal an MFT or APS-C. System cameras and DSLR's offer only an added value, albeit different lenses are used. Then of course they are "better" and more flexible. Therefore, the FZ1000 not replaced my MFT equipment complements but only as a universal solution.

In addition to the image quality still short a few key points to other criteria:
+ Extremely fast autofocus, even in low light (AF system of the Lumix GH4!)
