Before I came to this device, the Philips SmartTouch XL HQ8290 had in use (about 5 years).
Shaving with the unit was fine, but the shaving heads had after the first time were exchanged, to be replaced again always by less than a year.
In addition, the cleaning has not been satisfactory under running water.
I use the Philips RQ1250 / 16 SensoTouch 3D shaver now for almost 4 weeks and am excited:
- I shave with shaving foam in principle and the result can be compared to the wet shave
- There is little skin irritation and the shaving process is faster
- Device fits comfortably in your hand
- Cleaning the shaving heads when the razor is easily under running
Water possible result is great, because there is no subsequent cleaning of the shaving heads is more necessary
(Cleaned immediately after shaving)
- The price: is high, but the result is right !!
Therefore, the device gets full marks.
Addendum (18:12:11):
Cleaning under running water has now left its mark on the shaving head.
These are calcified, and the knife must still be cleaned more intensively.
Now the shaving heads with the Jet Clean Philips (Philips cleaner Jet Clean SensoTouch3D RQ) are cleaned.
The result has been very good.
However, the shaver is always loaded, which is a disadvantage.
