Conclusion:
Pro: The captured image is very good, the hard drive so great that I've never been in the position of having to delete anything unintentionally. I suppose exclusively on the highest quality level. Electronic Program Guide is very pleasant, but I suspect that the system would be even better nützbar, as it has done this Sony device ...
Cons:
1) The camera takes forever to start up. What does that mean? Imagine it like this: you take the remote control and press the power button. The device looks like before, it does not light irgendeinde LED, it can be seen no change in the display - you are flying blind. So you do not know: Did the now received my signal, I pressed hard enough? So, press again. Unfortunately you do not know that you have so that the device off immediately, before it ever could actively turn wriklich. I tell you what: This sucks horribly. The start up procedure takes about 10 long seconds so as to get it though but not really used to it, because you're never sure ...
2) If you record in the highest quality mode, it can happen that a movie will not fit on a standard DVD disc. You think: Does not matter, I just reducing the resolution of the recorded picture, or somehow you can surely still compress ... NO. You can only share the film and transferred to 2 DVDs. Not elegant and too cumbersome.
3) The service in all areas is very cumbersome. I call myself a rather überdurchschnitllichen Device User, and I sometimes have my hands full ...
4) recording of Timer: a) recorded with VHS signal transmissions have already been repeatedly cut back, great if all explanatory end of a thriller is missing ... That may (perhaps) are on the transmitters, but funny that I do this with my old VHS recorder have never experienced. b) So I just programmed no more VHS signal, but stupid that you can only attach the back 10, 20 or 30 minutes, if one selects the recording via the EPG Plus system. Therefore probably remains nothing more than a program with date, start time and end ...
