I jap me. SM64 on the veteran N64 already 1 year ago Europa release had sündfat expensive risen and this game had any Vorschusslorbeeren more than met, and since then was my alltime Favourite game, I had to still the DS version Get after I had brought me the backward-compatible for 3DS release. As an old jump'n'run Hase I thought I was going to come to the prophecies of doom Despite the often criticized control handle - this I did and had no problems to get to the simpler star and again to succumb to the old game flow per se. But it came regularly - almost with clairvoyant divination force - to situations where you knew "Ok, on the N64 you jumped up since have turned around, pushed jump button again and are on target, but the DS I'll jump up, try (!!!) turn around and jump will, but instead continue to jump straight into the abyss and die "- and it is this precision with the analog stick of the N64 succeeds partout not with the DS and the death described occurred. Some might now say "but the 3DS but has an analog stick with which it ought to work ..." Nope - it simulates the quasi Digikreuz, so it does not matter whether one is busy with the stick or the cross - it is digital and totally inaccurate. I have the Speil now banished to a phony by night, with many outbursts from the console and have connected my old N64 to be reconciled me by the brilliance of the original.
Away from this huge Malus the DS version has to be praised nonetheless clean technical implementation. It amazes one yet again how much power is being tickled from the small Handehlds now. Only the bilinear filtering of textures you can complain to the original, this function but unfortunately does not offer the DS and is not therefore included. The graphical level of detail per se has been raised but tidy although distance vision still is not optimal and popups to the graphical part of everyday life.
The reasons described above, I advise SM64 fans of the old hour urgently on a purchase of the DS version. Who still wants to make your own picture, can of course access. The game itself is not bad, only the available control periphery of the DS is unsuitable and poses an incredibly bad picture on a brilliant Nintendo classic.
