Epica's latest work has been eagerly awaited by me and is certainly one of my favorites for the best symphonic metal album of the year, as well as one of the strongest albums of the previous half-year 2014. The band around the charismatic frontwoman Simone Simons with her impressive voice has at its newest beast apparently particularly hard and their style is now almost perfectly worked out: a perfect winning combination of hardness, melody, progressive, multi-faceted and catchy factor - to a super production, which further highlights the strengths of the music. From the intro Originem to the bonus tracks at the end there is nothing that I would complain to the songs, the opposite - weak moments are sown rar on The Quantum Enigma ... High points are all the more, such as The Second Stone, which is perfect as an opener and presents the first thrilling Refarin Album. Of which there are definitely a lot like when Unchain Utopia, omens or the part of Pirates of the Caribbean reminiscent Natural Corruption, which can no longer get out of your head long. Toll is also the power ballad Canvas Of Life, but the intro tune is already unforgettable. These are just a few highlights, including the album still has a lot to offer. Super work Epica, am looking forward to be able to experience the material times live :)
