As at that time the single "Nemo" was released, I dared for the first time in Nightwish zoom. Unfamiliar "grim" were the songs so far for me, but my "Nemo" was (to me at that time an unknown mix of Metal + opera singing) at that time promised enormous. Hard metal riffs in the background and this wonderful "opera voice" as a singing part. This is once again the best proof that opposites attract ... First noticed the fast songs on the album, in which starting and grossed to the male vocals with Marco Hietala are me. I noticed immediately that the two harmonized wonderful! Already the first song "Dark Chest of Wonders" on the album is a musical explosion. A great guitar intro to a choir and Tarja make ... the song with her singing almost perfect. At the same pace is what the songs "Romanticide" (in which, incidentally, Marco at the end singing), "Dead Gardens", "Wish I Had an Angel" (in which Marco wonderfully sings in the background) and "Planet Hell" on. All songs Tarja's voice blends perfectly with the guitar riffs! The slower songs "The Siren", "Creek Mary's Blood", "Ghost Love Score", "Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan" and "Higher Than Hope" will be awakened by the combination of Tarja's voice and the gentle guitar sounds really comes to life. Tuomas doing the usual ... it just great to bring in the songs here with his keyboard. Especially produce except "Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan" (which is the only song on the album is sung in is the Suomi) nor that it really has Ghost Love Score in itself !!! Just over 10 minutes (in which every minute is worth!) The concentrated power of Tarja's voice, the instruments of the whole band + an orchestra let a truly mouth open to the 10 minute ;-) All in all a really great album that is the perfect combination of text, instruments and vocals to a true union symphonic metal bomb ...
