Communion (Audio CD)

Customer Review

By "Communion" Septic Flesh tread a path which was already on the last album "Sumerian Daemons" (partly even before) and found out its provisional completion with their latest album "The Great Mass".
Which is not to imply that "Communion" has failed mediocre. On the contrary, even if the tracks are symphonic (played by the Prague Symphony Orchestra) is not so closely linked as to later compositions, they constitute interesting additions to the songs, I am thinking of "Communion" or "Babel Gate" (starts as rapid death metal, then transformed later in a widescreen soundtrack, in which the orchestra takes over the driving part). "We, the Gods" is advancing into Black Metal fields, the gloomy orchestral part begins around the middle of the song. "Anubis" and "Persepolis" life of oriental Medlodien over which spreads a Death Metal carpet (where "Persepolis" again to and those fantasy soundtrack recalls), with "Sunlight / Moonlight" (the ethereal song of the album ) and "Narcissus" atmosphere is very important.
The individual compositions are designed strikingly dense, so listen carefully is essential. With a running time of about 38 minutes into the astonishing variety is on offer, sagging are nowhere.
So who is to symphonic metal experiments and / or for early Moonspell or Therion (to "Symphony Masses" - or "Lepaca Kliffoth" times) something has left, here can confidently access, Friends of atmsophärischen Death Metal do here also nothing wrong. Five points for it-enjoy the Communion!
