Benefits:
+ Low electricity and water consumption
(Even more fuel-efficient programs than 44l / 0.85kWh are selectable)
+ Washes lightly soiled in 30min program good clean
+ Is not too loud and did water stop
(Could therefore also be put up in the apartments)
+ Is easy to use
Disadvantages:
- Door is always something long locked after execution / cancel
- With use of fabric softeners was at the beginning of the wash cycle occasionally foam from the detergent-filler-drawer (but certainly depends on the agent and the charged amount - not happened the last 2 years it is)
- Has no such luxury remaining indicator or start-time preset
A few thoughts on the more cheaper brand:
It may be that a "Miele" lasts longer and perhaps even quieter - it is also extremely expensive and this makes Bauknecht at least not the impression of being totally junk goods.
One should also remember that ever more sophisticated devices come onto the market that have improved functionality and are cheaper in consumption or own demands on functions grow :) in the context. It may possibly already be useful in 10 years to buy a new washing machine ... (Whether such an approach is the most environmentally friendly and, of course, must be weighed in each individual case, since the production of a new machine so also requires energy and material. ).
Quite apart from that I have for our two-person household students just after how many years I have the cost of buying this Bauknecht washing machine "back there" and after how many years did it at the current cheapest "Miele" would be the case:
As a basis I had brought our previous washing costs involved at a community washer Münzeinwerfer (about 1.50 EUR per washing cycle) as well as the respective purchase prices and consumption data for the Bauknecht and Miele. So when Miele (about 950 EUR) after plenty of 9 years - for Bauknecht machine, the purchase was worthwhile for me after only 3 years (acquisition price Bauknecht then about 330 EUR). The Bauknecht thus ran with me for the first two years only guaranteed for 1 year "at its own risk", which repair costs were concerned - after the purchase had already paid off financially and they can run until they no longer want to stop.
Well, and also inquired into the machine with me in a cellar, where many people have access, where the plaster is falling, open to the window and other machines that do not have any such thing as water stop. Since I did not necessarily stand a 1000EUR machine.
Delivery / connection (in 2008):
The delivery took place, unfortunately without notice, so that the freight forwarders one day stood at the door, when I just wanted to work - but the machine was as promised carried to the installation site I want to stay in the basement.
A connection was indeed as described by Amazon not included - but to connect it yourself, or if necessary to seek help is indeed not an issue. But wished I could have at least have that in the washing machine hose clamps 1-2 accompany, so you confidently can connect the device to drain the drain hose, without thereby having to in a hardware store before.
