Playful melancholy

The declared railway enthusiasts from Bournemouth to present the second part of their concept work English Electric, a playful and melancholy work whose charm reveals itself already in the first pass, but the only one at that wins with every listen. The almost 16-minute opener "East Coast Racer" ties with its complexity still to the strong Genesis-influenced 'Part One' from 2012, but the other six pieces prove to be melodic simpler, quieter, but therefore more wonderful even so Compositions in which each member of Big Big Train could bring completely relaxed. Masterfully and beautiful!

The brilliant cover artwork connects seamlessly with that of ENGLISH ELECRIC PART ONE: great photos from flaking color on historical locomotives, I suppose.

If one compares with an English Electric 'early work' as ENGLISH BOY WONDERS 1997, I as at best mediocre've remembered, so the development of this band can be described only as sensational.
