The contribution of this edition is to make available to the public works found elsewhere, such as the magnificent "Letter to a hostage," and propose an analytical table "Citadel" was missing before. But we deplore the faults to find there new Pleiades: a mind-numbing amount of pretentious notes, the incoherent sequence of texts and ultimately incomplete edition (since at the very time when this second volume was published with an appendix on Saint-Exupéry and film, The Notebooks of the NRF, still by Gallimard, published under the title "Dear Jean Renoir" items exchanged between Saint-Exupéry and Renoir for the production of a film from "Terre des hommes", and these texts are not included in the Complete Works).
