Since I'm a big fan of Lady Gaga, I give 5 stars, but that's even better. Compared with the songs from her latest album "Born This Way", this song seems to be more musically / artistically a throwback. For this we get most commercial electro pop to hear with absolute hit potential. Only the verses with Gaga's theatrical huskily can convince me fully. The refrain "Give me that thing did I love ..." goes well and makes the song thus Party & Club Tough. Talent for ingenious Bridges had Gaga always so well in this song. A short decay of Hook ("touch, touch"), which is accompanied by a piano leads, as it were the climax of Applause. The Lyrics seem to be a bit superficial at first glance, what I'm not used to from Lady Gaga. Ultimately, it is because "Applause" simply not a lot of text here, but I realized after repeated listening, that a little more but is behind the surface than just begging to applause artist, mainly through the visual support music video and various live performances can be seen. I would, however, offer no own interpretation here. Hear's and Check it out for yourself at;)
