Responsible for the second part of Pirates of the Caribbean Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, The Rock), the musical control. With the first two tracks (Jack Sparrow and The Kraken) it surpasses the complete score of Klaus Badelt (Poseidon), set to music of the first part. Because one of the biggest problems of PotC 1 was that Badelt tried to play music for contemporary lightweight action beats to a location in the 17th century. Dead Man Chest tried at least partially, to correct the reasonably. Titles like Davy Jones or The Kraken are really well done. So, how do I rate this score? He starts strong, but from track 5 goes downhill. There are moments here and there where the counting intelligence of Hans Zimmer appears on an ingenious way. Therefore Dead Man's Chest is a bit stronger than The Curse Of The Black Pearl, but not much more.
