The graph ++
----------
The graphics plays for me in a role play is not just the most important role, but I find the graphics of Dragon Age II is far from satisfactory. Even on maximum details with High Texture Pack see the Landscapes / Cities simply only bad and boring. See the characters per se with this setting, although quite handsomely, but unfortunately, this impression is also clouded the fact that as the mother of the protagonist looks like she was 30, only the gray hair to suggest a touch of age. There seems to be anyway a model for women in the game and with absolutely exaggerated bust (which partially penetrating the camera in cutscenes in the center). The exaggerated blood bothers me less now, but that every opponent at the slightest special attack equal to 50 parts shatters just looks ridiculous. Inside Level act drab and gray, outer level are usually just boring.
The sound +++
----------
As expected, the soundtrack from the game really well and support the atmosphere not really generated by the graphics convincingly. The German speakers, I can say nothing, Playing in English but the speakers do their job pretty well overall. Atmosphere-killer are unfortunately phrases like When I'm not traveling with you, you can find me here and there. "With a neugewonnenem comrades. Also in the fight, the sayings of the main character nerves increasingly. By no later than the second hour of play can be phrases like Another Wave" with new attacking enemies simply no longer hear.
The level design +
---------------
The level design is the worst that I have ever seen from Bioware. Even the same old ground plans of stations in Mass Effect 1 had more variety than what serves up Bioware us here. Take a cave, copy it at least 20 times and then build a few sloppy stone walls to block passages a. Finish are all caves of the game. The bad thing is that the mini map, for example do not know that blockages are there, apart from the fact that it looks ridiculous reinzuklatschen a stone wall in a doorway. That's just bottom drawer. If I then interviewed by one of the developers read that you would have done this to install as much content, to me is the big question, why you can not just develop half a year longer before you published a copy-paste salad. Here, unfortunately, EA seems to be responsible, who pushed the earliest possible release of the game. Even otherwise, the levels are boring and approved without hose Level Secrets or large branches. If it's a small branch there should always turn, because there you will find then an extra chest or the like. That's boring and not motivating. Generally, you walk too long always the same way. How many times I'm probably started up in a single pass the mountain at the Dalish ... I do not remember but it was at least eight times. This is partly, of course, on the nature of the story but it is not optimal.
The fights +
-----------
The faster combat system does not bother me. However, what bothers me is the small HUD displays on the bottom left. Too often they have not been in the field of view and recognize too late that a comrade is being knocked down. The lack bird's doing since her remaining in addition. However, what bothers me a lot more, are on the one hand the eternal illogical respawns the enemy masses. I felt at times as if in a bad scripted shooter before, where opponents not emerge out of the new, so you have more cannon fodder. Ridiculous cubed it is when nothing abseiling from the ceiling to support additional bandits inside a building with ropes from their comrades. This enemy waves "just nerves only. This can sometimes get one or the other gain is indeed logical, but not with every fight and completely out of nowhere at least three waves. That just is not fun, it is only the playing time artificially high screws. For others bother me especially the completely exaggerated tedious boss battles, merely representing a battle of material. They are not difficult, just tedious. Then, when the final battle min. takes 30 minutes, I feel more like a Final Fantasy Part remembered as a classic RPG.
The Story ++++
-----------
Bioware the story as a whole is typically good. However, there are compromises here. Much is too predictable. Through the constant time jumps there is no really solid atmosphere and the open end is crying out for continuation or DLC. In general, the narrative perspective, especially for later installation of DLC appears to be suitable. What is also annoying is that the game towards the end suggested could really change the course of history for a long, but you can not. Whether you look at one or the other side makes it come to the same end. Since Dragon Age Origins was a little more diverse.
Other +
-----------
The new inventory is clearly laid out but has no charisma -> Each weapon looks the same. Each armor looks the same, etc. The same situation is with the armor of the companion, which you can upgrade laboriously only scour all stores.
Conclusion
-----------
Unfortunately here a lot of potential has been wasted and the design flaws are almost all due to lack of time or simple console port. The story knows how to convince, but torments you look at it for hours through dull unchanging tube level. As my story has indeed made fun of the way there but not, unfortunately, only 2 stars.
