For all others who want to be convinced yet:
For DVD:
The DVD starts already with an impressive Slow-Mo menu. Strong idea in my opinion.
Main part of the disc is a live concert of Irie Révoltés with recordings of performances at the Mannheim Capitol on 22 and 23 December 2011. For the setlist I do not want to reveal too much, except that it is the best 20 "hits" of Irie Révoltés (my subjective opinion) are. The scenes are cut cleanly and by the many different camera positions is any kind of concert-goers their money's worth:
The "first-row groupie", the ruthless Moshpitfetischist who was interested engineer with an elegant tribune visitors (which it does not really exist at the Révoltés) and the happy Backstage Pass-winner. No matter what you value at a concert - from every angle you have the feeling to be in the middle itself. Outstanding! The sound quality is also impressive and convincing.
To stage show I need not say much. Irie Révoltés are a powerful live band and they have impressively for the live DVD to prove. From delicate sounds to the phases of the hyperactive Ausflippens: The guys are always full on the ball, give everything and act always authentic.
But this live concert has earned the 5 stars.
What "by the way" is still to be found on the DVD: a 50-minute documentary "Mouvement Mondial" to the band's history and the various projects. Who looks at this document and the guys behind not just awesome place where something goes wrong.
From a political commitment (and the problems so occasional) on "turtlenecks for Africa" and "Make Some Noise" to "Viva con Agua": All projects are explained, pointed to their immense importance and the personal motivation of the band, this to support projects is well represented.
The documentary is the absolute icing on this plate.
For CD: See DVD - only without optical impressions and with a shorter maturity, which in no way detracts from the quality.
Only the CD would be worth the price even without DVD!
My recommendation to the diligent reader: BUY NOW!
