Eg if you have fancy namely French fries, you should only 1 person - max. His 2-person household, or have prepared more gears to also fill you up.
The first pass should - start without food - after thorough initial cleaning of all parts. In the first use of the device sucks out quite considerable - which is according to instruction but also normal.
The manual provided for us then also question mark in your mind, because, although with some nice recipe advice comes up, but I prefer less tips for clearer statements would have.
Even the start bewildered. The manual says:
PREHEATING:
- Devices Insert the plug into the socket.
- Set the thermostat to the required temperature.
- Set the timer on. 5
- The control lamp lights up.
- The thermostat lamp first lights up and flashes until the temperature is reached.
- If the timer to 0, the power turns off.
We have found the temperature to 200 degrees, timer to 5 minutes and then ... Yes, the pilot lamp lit up and the thermostat bulb. But then just blinks nothing. We even turned off the kitchen light to better see the lights. No flashing far and wide. At some point, the thermostat lamp switched then times out (simultaneously with the light down at the basket), so we felt okay .. the unit is preheated. After a few seconds it came back on and I would say, because the device has then reheated. But we were sure we do not: Was not warmed up there now?
Is it with us only a defect that simply nothing flashes? I lacked otherwise the indication of how long the preheating takes about.
So we have come easily and suggested that the fryer is well preheated when the thermostat light goes out, but the pilot light is still on ... were there but even slightly dissatisfied with the instructions and find that the one with the lights (which, incidentally, even the backlights are - no separate lamps such as the stove) could have been better resolved.
According to the manual to thin fries are fried 9-16 minutes and thick fries 11-20 minutes. I find this room quite high.
So we opted for the golden mean - but it was not easy, now set about 13 minutes. I feel this hourglass timer as quite inaccurate - where my real egg timer on the same principle can be adjusted even more precisely.
And even my cheap microwave that really only tasted a Bruchtteil, has a more accurate time setting via digital display.
Mir says this timer just do not and I think again, I would have expected better for this price.
But okay, so you then CA. Set 13 minutes and turned to the half, the attachment to the handle is a bit tricky even once and we first have involuntarily moved a bit backwards in trying to attach the handle to the basket the fryer.
The fries were okay in the end, but were not as tasty and crispy as they had hoped.
That may be due to our taste buds, if you oily Fritteusenfett fries is usual and may lie after some time.
For the vegetable skewers were but quite tasty and the rolls were fresh quickly. We try now to continue a little by and overall everything is very nice, but not really from the stool skin me the device.
Only because we want to feed us healthy, we still stick to it and try to get used to the "healthier french taste".
But the huge enthusiasm remains from so far and I think, for almost 200 euros the timer at least digital and accurately and the indicator lights could be true tales and also act in accordance with the instructions. So everything looks a little cheap, because the funny eggs form saves not over it.
But who knows, we stay tuned and maybe I need my review still add value when we tried even more and I still discover things that I do not healthier, tasty and fast hinkriege in other ways, so that my criticisms are all the same at the end ,
For now, however, only a "non-poor" ... 3 of 5 points.
