Prime pretty boring novel!

First novel of Saint-Exupéry "Courrier sud" is somehow the prototype of all his work to come. It contains the stories of the airmen airmail line between Toulouse and Dakar. A reading of the book is still a little hungry, the story is very jerky, it's hard to navigate, the starting rate is cut by the story of a character and his adventures with his lover . Too bad.

It includes writing style that Saint-Exupéry perfected in his later books, including "Man" or "Night Flight". In "Courrier Sud" we do not feel quite lonely driver crossing the Sahara, anxiety breaking down in the middle of nowhere in a hostile environment, the heroism of the pilots in the most desperate situations. The metaphors and images are interesting but not enough accomplished, it does not dream
