I had problems, a 2.5 "hard drive (1TB) with USB 3 to operate on my Panasonic TX-L55WTW60. Normally, this hard drive is connected to the notebook (for filling). Every now and then I stöpsle then forwards it to the TV device at the time of video playback, there was every now and then crashes -.. regardless of whether I was using a USB 2 or 3 port on the TV Now I have connected your drive with this Y cable to two USB 2 inputs on the TV . Lo and behold, after repeated use, there were no crashes and hangers more practical is the fact that the new Y-cable is slightly longer than the old!.
By the way: With a 3.5 "external hard drive I've never had problems due to the separate power supply.
