Here my result to this adapter:
1) SATA hard drives detection = excellent, 7 tested SATA HDDs were all recognized.
2.) IDE hard drives 3.5 "" = trouble. From 5 hard drives only 3 were detected and even with these there were problems, that is, the disks were not detected every time you switch on the adapter. Two Seagate IDE hard drives, namely 250 GB (ST3250823A) and 300 GB (ST3300831A) were not recognized. I have tried it several times, and with different operating systems and different USB 3.0 sockets. These two hard drives can not detect the adapter easily. I have both IDE hard drives not recognized yet to a computer with IDE port connected to the motherboard and behold-both disks are intact and also run the diagnostic tool without errors. Will say that the two unrecognized HDDs are fine and should have been recognized by the adapter.
3.) IDE hard drives 2.5 "" = not tested.
Too bad, I would have expected a better IDE HDD Detection.
