Nevertheless Magic is simply "the" TCG and definitely a purchase, even if you better start at the beginning with a starter set. Unfortunately, the item description is not the difficulty level is specified, which can be found on each package. The following sets but basically have Schwierigkeitsrade:
- Starter Kits have difficulty "Starter" and always include a rule book!
- Card sets of editions:
Core Set - Ninth Edition
Core Set - Eighth Edition
Seventh Edition
Classic (Sixth Edition)
Fifth Edition
Fourth Edition
Revised Edition
Alpha, Beta, Unlimited
... Have the Maximum Difficulty "Advanced" in my opinion, but also by every beginner speilbar when he played 2, 3 duels and the rules halfway internalized
- All other previously published editions and translations have the difficulty "Expert" and should be purchased in my opinion, only if one has gained a bit of experience. Initially many beginners often make the mistake of playing early with the "right" card. There is often therefore disputes in the rules. The English version of "Magic: The Gathering Comprehensive Rules" has at least 125 pages, but is also extremely detailed. One should therefore if you start playing with the more complex maps, first gamble with experienced players who already are longer deal with the rules.
My tip: The demo of the program "Magic: Online" can be downloaded for free and tested. The decks are all prefabricated and are on the difficulty "Advanced". So if you want to do with Magic, can also accumulate because the first experience!
